Once head of the mysterious and highly secretive group, the Guardians of Lemuria, where he was greatly respected for his intelligence and deep knowledge of the ancient city, Proteus became so hungry for power that it turned him against the group’s mission.
Once the Guardians discovered his true colors, he was sent out of the group in disgrace.
