Giant Hermit Crabs were found in a colony right near the island of Hachioji-Kojima after items started going missing (like Kenji’s fridge). After claims that aliens were responsible, the Nektons were brought in to investigate (…now that’s Ant’s kind of investigation)
Since giant crabs, just like regular sized ones, need to replace their shells as their size increases, it turns out that these stolen items were really being collected as possible new homes for them to move into. They have large pincers for defending themselves, climbing, and moving heavy objects, in addition to their own light source to get around and long feelers that they use to navigate.
