Bioluminescents

There are a variety of sea creatures that have the ability to light up in the dark, also known as bioluminescents. They live in a deep, empty landscape at the bottom of the sea called the Midnight Zone.

These types of marine species are difficult to study as they emit light with a certain mesmerizing quality to attract their prey (like divers and other creatures) – a luring danger the Nektons are careful to protect themselves against when conducting research. One particular bioluminescent the angler fish, especially drawn to the Shadow Knight’s ‘stealth mode’, is the master of these creatures, with an enchanting glow to attract prey and a huge jaw to swallow them whole.
